What 'graded' actually means here
Plenty of suppliers sell 'used gaylords'. Very few will tell you what that means, which is how buyers end up paying Grade A prices for a pallet with three blown bottoms in the middle of it. Every box we sell has been stood up empty and checked against six criteria before it enters inventory.
- Corners — no softness, no rounding, no delamination. Corners carry 60–70% of a stacked load.
- Bottom seam — intact glue or staples, no bulge, no separation at the fold.
- Walls — cuts and patches counted, crush checked against raking light.
- Flaps — present, folding cleanly at the score line.
- Moisture — no damp, and critically no tide line from a box that stood in water.
- Odour — solvent, food or mildew smell is an automatic scrap call.

How pricing works
Price per box is a function of five things: wall count, size, grade, quantity and whether we are delivering. Wall count and size are fixed by physics. Grade is fixed by inspection. Quantity and freight are where the number actually moves.
- Pallet quantities (20–40 boxes) — yard pickup price, best for small runs and trials.
- Half trailer (roughly 240 boxes knocked down) — the point where delivery starts making sense.
- Full trailer (roughly 480 boxes) — best per-box price; freight is amortised across the whole load.
- Standing orders — better than spot every time, because we can plan trailers instead of chasing them.
- Backhaul pairing — if we take material out on the same truck, both directions get cheaper.
Knocked down versus assembled
We ship knocked down by default. A flat-packed 48×40×36 gives you roughly 480 per 53-foot trailer; assembled you get about 26 pallets. That is a four-to-one difference in freight cost per box, and on used inventory freight is usually the biggest line on the invoice.
Assembled delivery is available locally when boxes go straight into production the same shift and you would rather not spend the labour setting them up. Tell us on the quote and we will price both ways so you can compare.
Buying without seeing the yard
Remote buyers get photographs of the actual pallets we would ship — including the ugly side of the stack, because that is the side that tells you something. We would rather lose a sale than have a customer open a trailer and find a grade they did not agree to.

Send the spec
Size, wall count, quantity, grade if you know it, and where it is going. If you do not know the wall count, tell us what goes in the box and how heavy it is — we will work it out.
Get a written quote
One page: per-box price, landed cost, current stock count, freight and lead time. Within one business day, usually the same afternoon.
Approve and schedule
We pull and stage your lot. Yard pickup is same day on deep-stock items; metro delivery is next day.
Load and go
Knocked down and banded on pallets, count verified at the dock, paperwork with grade and quantity on the load.
Send the empties back
When they are done, we buy them back or take them for baling — usually on a truck that is already coming to you.
Buy Used Boxes — common questions
What is the minimum order?
One pallet for delivery — typically 20 to 40 boxes depending on wall height. There is no minimum for yard pickup.
Can I mix sizes and grades on one order?
Yes. Mixed loads are normal, and we band and label each lot separately so your receiving team can tell them apart without opening anything.
How current is your stock count?
The number in your quote is a real count from that morning's inventory, not a catalogue figure. If a lot sells before you approve, we tell you rather than substituting quietly.
Do you deliver outside Houston?
Yes — scheduled lanes to DFW, Austin, San Antonio, Beaumont and Port Arthur, plus the Gulf Coast. Longer lanes run on planned routes to keep freight per box sensible.
